Bandipora, Aug 12: Bandipora police on Monday solved a hit and run case in hours after a man was hitted near Saderkoy bala by arresting the accused person involved in the commission of crime.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS)that police post Sumbal received information about hit and run incidents involving a Tata mobile vehicle.

The vehicle had hitted the person namely Abdul Majeed Dar son of Habibullah Dar near Bunpora of Saderkot bala and fled from the scene.

The man was critically injured in the incident was shifted to CHC Hajin where he succumbed his injuries.

Regarding this a case was registered in police post Sumbal under relevant sections of laws and investigation was initiated.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

"Reportedly one person namely Abdul Majeed Dar S/O Habibullah Dar R/O S K Bala was hit by an unknown vehicle at Sk bala resulting injuries to the said person. The injured person later on succumbed to his injuries in CHC Hajin. Consequently Case FIR No 155/2024 U/S 125, 281 BNS stands registered in PS Sumbal,".

After strenuous efforts the accused driver identified as Bilal Ahmad Dar son of Zahoor Ahmad Dar a resident of Saderkot bala has been arrested.

The involved vehicle bearing registration number Jk015B 1892 was also recovered and seized (KNS).
