New Delhi, Jan 3 (KNS): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to release Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman ahead of the upcoming IPL 2026 season.
The decision was confirmed by BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia, who said the board has also allowed KKR to sign a replacement player if required.

With this move, KKR will need to adjust their overseas bowling combination but will be free to bring in another player as per IPL rules.(KNS)
