Kupwara, July 26 (KNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul on Friday said that the BJP is steadily expanding its base in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in North Kashmir, and the large number of retired army personnel joining the party in Kupwara is a major boost to its grassroots strength.
Addressing a public gathering at Almatpura, Kupwara on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Koul said, “These ex-servicemen have served the nation with dedication, and now they will serve society through the BJP. Their discipline and commitment will strengthen the organisation at the local level.”

He lauded the efforts of the local party unit and said the success of the event reflected the dedication and hard work of BJP workers in the district.
He further said that the BJP is fully prepared to contest the upcoming panchayat and local body elections. “Our party is reaching every polling booth and panchayat. This massive joining proves that BJP has a strong and growing presence on the ground in Kashmir,” he added.
Koul congratulated the new entrants and expressed confidence that the BJP’s support base will continue to rise in the region. (KNS)
