Srinagar, Apr 16 (KNS): Congress Leader Sachin Pilot on Tuesday accused Bharatiya Janata Party of using religious politics to divert attention from its failures in Development.
Campaigning for his party's candidate, Choudhary Lal Singh, in the Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency, Pilot alleged that the BJP government is employing "religious politics as a means of diverting attention from its shortcomings" in the realm of development.
The Election Commission is just sitting there and doing nothing. We had to go all the way to the Supreme Court to get justice for the Chandigarh mayoral elections, Pilot alleged adding that they froze the Congress's bank accounts, put elected chief ministers in jail, and tried to shut us up.

Pilot claimed that there is a growing wave of change across the country, questioning the BJP government's ten-year rule and demanded accountability.
Pilot highlighted key promises from the Congress manifesto, including financial aid for women from poor families.
Pilot also criticized the encroachment of lands under the Lieutenant governor's rule and assured the public that elections in Jammu and Kashmir would be held before September, citing a Supreme Court order.
Notably, the Udhampur Lok Sabha seat, where BJP's Jitendra Singh faces Congress's Choudhary Lal Singh and G M Saroori of the Democratic Azad Party, is scheduled for polls on April 19.(KNS)
