Srinagar, May 17 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Workers Party President, Mir Junaid, has strongly condemned the suffering of civilians living along the border villages, following recent India–Pakistan tensions. He said innocent men, women, and children lost their homes overnight due to cross-border shelling and are now forced to live under damaged roofs or in the open.
Mir Junaid said these civilians, who had no role in the conflict, have paid the highest price and must not be treated as mere collateral damage. “While Pakistan rewards families of militants, our own government must show moral courage and political will to rebuild the homes of innocent citizens affected by this violence,” he stated.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He warned against mere photo opportunities and hollow promises from the government, urging the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Defence Minister, and Lieutenant Governor to step in with immediate, meaningful relief.
“These civilians must be recognised as martyrs of war and granted the dignity, compensation, and shelter they deserve. History should remember not just press releases, but the actions taken to heal the wounds of these families,” Mir Junaid said.
He called for quick and official measures to provide shelter and relief to the affected families, reminding the government that a nation’s true strength lies in protecting its people.(KNS)
