BSF Organizes Medical Camp in Nowgam

Kupwara, Feb 7 (KNS):  The Border Security Force (BSF) 174 Battalion on Friday organized a medical camp and a felicitation ceremony at Nowgam, Handwara, drawing participation from over 500 people.  

During the event, BSF doctors, along with local doctors provided free medical consultations and treatment to the attendees. The initiative aimed to ensure healthcare accessibility for the local population in the border area.

As part of the program, the BSF also felicitated the winners of local cricket and volleyball tournaments. The winning teams were awarded cricket and volleyball kits to encourage sports activities among the youth.  

Additionally, 20 individuals who had undergone recruitment training programs under BSF initiatives were presented with certificates, recognizing their efforts and achievements during the training.

The event was attended by Commandant of 174 Battalion BSF Vinod Singh, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Handwara, Station House Officer (SHO) Qalamabad, DDC Mawer and other dignitaries.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThey lauded the BSF’s role in community engagement and welfare activities, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in fostering positive relations between security forces and the local population.  

Speaking on the occasion, Commandant 174 BSF Vinod Singh said that the Border Security Forces (BSF) deployed on the border is always ready to give necessary assistance to the people of these areas. He later thanked all the medical staff, media persons, village head and other persons who played the role for the successful the event.

Local residents expressed appreciation for the BSF’s efforts in organizing the medical camp and supporting youth through sports and skill development programs.(KNS)
