Srinagar, November 13 (KNS): Terming the recent Delhi blast as an act of terrorism, Hakeem Abdul Rashid, head of the Muslim Democratic League, expressed deep anguish over the tragic loss of innocent lives. He said that humanity can never forgive those responsible for shedding innocent blood.
According to statement issued here, Hakeem Sahib prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and a speedy recovery for the injured. “Human life is sacred. God has declared that killing one innocent person is equivalent to killing all of humanity,” Hakeem said, adding that no God-fearing or compassionate person can remain silent in the face of such violence and destruction.
He also appealed for restraint and cautioned against harassment of innocent people under the guise of investigations, calling such actions equally condemnable. (KNS)
