Srinagar, May 25: Chief Electoral Officer J&K Pandurang K Pole Saturday stated those political workers detained in south Kashmir's Anantnag have questionable background and suspected links to subversive activities.

He said the voting underway in Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary seat is going in a smooth and peaceful manner.

Talking to Kashmir News Service, CEO PK Pole said the administration is dedicated to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of polls in Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary seat.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said police have detained few persons who have questionable background and suspected links to subversive activities.

The CEO J&K however said the administration is taking utmost care to minimize the number of detentions and ensure that no innocent person is affected. (KNS)
