Udhampur, July 18 (KNS): Eight pilgrims on their way to the holy Amarnath shrine sustained injuries after a collision between an Innova vehicle and a truck near Battal Ballian in Udhampur district on Friday.
According to officials, the mishap occurred when a truck bearing registration number PB65AV/9318 collided with an Innova (registration number UP81BN/3701) carrying pilgrims returning from the Pahalgam Yatra route.
Preliminary reports suggest that eight passengers were onboard the Innova at the time of the accident.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWhile three pilgrims sustained minor injuries and were provided medical aid on the spot, five others suffered serious injuries and were shifted to the Government Medical College (GMC) Associated Hospital in Udhampur for specialized treatment.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident, and further investigation is underway. (KNS)
