Ensure 24-Hour Electricity in Bandipora: JKPCC District President Appeals to Administration

Bandipora, 29 Nov (KNS): Mushtaq Ahmad Tantrey, JKPCC district president for Bandipora, demanded a 24×7 electricity supply in the district, as temperatures drop to freezing levels during winter.

In an interview with the Kashmir News Service (KNS), he said that many delegations who have met with him over the past few days complained about unscheduled power cuts.

He expressed his concern over the underdevelopment and lack of basic amenities in the Bandipora area. "A large population is left without essential development and facilities, which are crucial for daily life," he stated, noting that the unscheduled power cuts have disrupted normal life. He added that lengthy power outages during sub-zero temperatures have increased the hardships faced by residents.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He emphasized, "With the harsh winter months ahead, people often find themselves without electricity. Therefore, the administration should take proactive measures to ensure that residents do not face power shortages."

Tantrey recommended that the Power Development Department (PDD) create a comprehensive schedule for power distribution, stockpile transformers, poles, and conductors in advance, and prioritize tree branch trimming well before the harsh winter arrives. (KNS)
