Srinagar, Sep 29 (KNS): National Conference president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Dr Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday attended the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly on the sixth day of its ongoing session.

Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather welcomed Abdullah as he entered the House, following which the Assembly took up the listed business.

The sixth session of the J&K Legislative Assembly began on September 21 and is scheduled to continue till September 30. The provisional calendar provides for government business, private members’ bills and resolutions during the session.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The House has witnessed discussions on several key issues during the session, including the demand for restoration of statehood. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also moved a resolution seeking the immediate and urgent restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir on September 25.

Abdullah, who is not a member of the Legislative Assembly, has been associated with the proceedings and political discussions surrounding the ongoing session.(KNS)
