Srinagar, Oct 18 (KNS): National Conference president Dr. Farooq Abdullah announced that the recent J&K Assembly poll verdict is a rejection of the central government’s August 5, 2019 decision. He confirmed that his son, Omar Abdullah, will be the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

He emphasized that governance will shift from the Lieutenant Governor and his advisors to the elected 90-member Assembly. Dr. Farooq outlined the National Conference's priorities, focusing on tackling unemployment and rising drug abuse.
