JAMMU, JAN 25 (KNS) ; The Jammu Division of Northern Railway on Sunday achieved a milestone with the first-ever arrival of a 12-wagon cement rake from the Adani Group at the Chhann Arorian Goods Shed, officials said.
The rake, carrying approximately 790 tonnes of cement, comprised eight wagons of ACC and four wagons of Ambuja Cement, they said.
A senior railway officer told News Agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the initiative, spearheaded by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal, marks a diversification from the goods shed’s previous reliance on UltraTech Cement supplies.

Speaking to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS), Singhal said, “The logistics and freight network in Jammu Division is being strengthened day by day. This arrival is the result of sustained engagement with cement companies.”
