 Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNS): In the aftermath of the terror attack in Gagangir, Ganderbal, which claimed the lives of Dr. Shahnawaz and six laborers, grieving relatives and neighbors of the victims expressed their deep sorrow and anger, demanding justice for the senseless loss of life.

The attack has sent shockwaves through the locals, with mourners condemning the violence and highlighting the ongoing fear and insecurity faced by residents.

One relative of Dr. Shahnawaz while speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that they leave their homes with uncertainty, not knowing if they will return safely. "Our families live in constant fear. We urge authorities to take decisive action to ensure the perpetrators are held accountable."

He said that incidents like this have plagued Kashmir since 1947 and this is nothing new for them. He said that the attack, which took place at night, targeted workers who had come to Ganderbal to earn their livelihood. The workers, hailing from different states, were innocent victims of terror, leaving their families in deep shock and despair.

Locals described the atmosphere as one filled with fear, where people leave their homes every day, unsure of their safety.

The families of the victims have appealed to both the central and J&K governments to take swift action. "We need justice, and we urge the government to act firmly against those responsible."(KNS)
