SRINAGAR, AUG 04: In order to protect the natural beauty of the famous tourist destination Gulmarg, the Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA) has urged hoteliers in Gulmarg to avoid using plastic water bottles in their establishments and instead switch to glass bottles.

eeping it plastic and polythene-free is our collective responsibility. with the efforts of the GDA, municipality, and stakeholders to keep Gulmarg clean, polythene-free, and plastic-free. "Hoteliers in Gulmarg have been supportive of the green initiatives led by the GDA, such as anti-polythene campaigns and eco-tourism events," he said.

The CEO emphasised that, as part of our joint commitment to keeping Gulmarg free of polythene and plastic, "hoteliers in Gulmarg are urged to stop using plastic water bottles in their establishments and switch to glass bottles instead.

"The required measures for this transition will be implemented within one month to ensure a complete shift to glass bottles. This action will only serve to help us collectively preserve the natural beauty of Gulmarg," he said. (KNS)
