Ghulam Nabi Azad Condemns Pahalgam Attack, Hails Unity of Kashmiri Muslims

SRINAGAR, APRIL 23 (KNS): Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) President Ghulam Nabi Azad has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, calling it an assault on humanity and the spirit of Kashmiriyat.

Speaking to KNS, Azad said, “Today, if a militant asks tourists about their religion, it clearly shows that Pakistan-sponsored militants have attacked our shared values.” He described the act as barbaric and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives.

Azad praised the response of the Muslim community across Jammu and Kashmir. “This time, Muslims have stood up and said enough is enough. Earlier, they were often accused of sheltering militants, but today they have proven they are against such violence,” he stated.

He emphasized that people in the Kashmir Valley have realized that such acts are direct attacks on their identity and way of life.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“From north to south, people have come out on the roads to condemn this attack, which clearly shows their awareness of what is really happening,” Azad said.

“I salute all those who came out in support of the victims of this brutal incident. People in the Valley have suffered a lot and now understand that this kind of violence will not work,” he added.

Azad also appealed to the public to reject any attempts to create communal divisions. “The people have shown solidarity with our Hindu brothers and sisters who were killed. We must strengthen this message of harmony and unity,” he concluded. (KNS)
