GOC Kupwara Visits Sharda Temple at LoC Teetwal, Pays Obeisance

Teetwal, Karnah, Dec 16 (KNS): General Officer Commanding (GOC) Kupwara,  M. K. Nair, on Monday made his maiden visit to the historic Sharda Temple located near the Line of Control (LoC) at Teetwal in Karnah area of north Kashmir.

Accompanied by his family members, the GOC paid obeisance at the temple and performed puja. He was received by Sharda Temple Coordinator Ajaz Khan, who honoured him with a traditional Sharda shawl and presented a souvenir on the occasion.

The visit was also attended by Brigadier Pradhan, local commander of the 104 Shakti Brigade.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelDuring the interaction, the GOC Kupwara appreciated the efforts of the Save Sharda Committee, led by its founder Ravinder Pandita, for reconstructing the Sharda Temple and preserving it as a symbol of interfaith harmony in the last village of North India.

The Sharda Temple holds immense historical and cultural significance and has emerged as a symbol of communal harmony and shared heritage in the region.(KNS)
