Srinagar, July 25(KNS) Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party chief Altaf Bukhari said that the Food Supplies Department portal has not been functioning for several months, causing serious inconvenience to the public in accessing key services under the Public Distribution System (PDS).

In a post on social media platform X, Bukhari said that the malfunctioning portal is affecting services such as ration card management and other essential online facilities. “It is urgent that the administration take immediate action to fix the online disruptions so that people can easily access their rightful services under the Public Distribution System,” Bukhari wrote.

He further said that the administration must ensure that the registration of Golden Cards continues without delay. “Even if it has to be done offline, it must be ensured,” he added.

The Apni Party chief urged the concerned authorities to prioritise the matter in the interest of thousands of residents dependent on the system for essential supplies and health-related benefits.(KNS).
