Srinagar, Dec 19 (KNS): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, conducted an extensive visit to the under-construction Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara at Chogal to assess the progress and challenges faced by the project.
During the visit, Bidhuri highlighted the government’s efforts to identify alternate sites for the flood-affected GMC project. He assured that the administration is committed to ensuring the timely completion of the medical college while addressing key issues like accommodation and the shortage of doctors.

"Daily reviews are being conducted to ensure smooth operations and to address any potential challenges during the winter season," he said.
Bidhuri further stressed the importance of major events in the valley, such as the Khelo India Games and the Bangus Festival. He informed that senior officials are conducting regular monitoring to ensure these initiatives are executed efficiently and contribute to the valley's development and tourism promotion. (KNS)
