Govt Orders Major Administrative Reshuffle, Transfers 58 Officers


Jammu, Nov 20 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, ordering the transfer and posting of 58 officers across different departments. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued the order on Wednesday, stating that the move aims to improve efficiency and strengthen governance in the Union Territory.

In the reshuffle, several senior officers — including Rajinder Singh Tara, Tariq Hussain Ganal, Sajad Hussain Ganal, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Reyaz Ahmad Wani, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, and Ashwani Khajuria — have been assigned new responsibilities. The government said these changes are intended to streamline work in their respective departments.

A number of officers have also been given additional charges. Bashir Ahmad Khan will now head the J&K Rehabilitation Council along with his existing duties. Ashwani Khajuria has been appointed to lead both the Jammu and Kashmir Estates Departments. Similarly, Riyaz Ahmad Beigh will oversee the Yusmarg Development Authority in addition to his current role.

The order includes fresh postings for officers such as Abid Hussain, Ashish Kumar Gupta, Ashiq Hussain Lily, Ghan Shyam Singh, Bilal Khurshid, Natasha Kalsotra, Suresh Chander, and Rajesh Kumar Basotra, who have been placed in key departments like Registration, Skill Development, Power, and Land Records.

Further changes involve Muzaffar Malik, Khalid Hussain, Anirudh Rai, Fareed Ahmad Kohli, Nasir Mahmood Khan, Sanjeev Sharma, and Manzoor Ahmad, while new assignments have also been given to Mukhtar Ahmad, Syed Nadeem Iqbal Andrabi, Salam Din, Peer Zahid Ahmad, and Manoj Kumar.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelTheir postings cover important administrative sectors across the UT.

More officers — including Abdul Khabir, Shahzada Noor-ul-Ain, Javid Iqbal Bhat, Abdul Majeed Rather, Sourabh Sharma, Meenakshi Jasrotia, Sugandhi Banotra, and Ghulam Mohammad Khan — have been shifted to departments like Tribal Affairs, Rural Sanitation, and various Development Authorities as part of the reshuffle.

Additionally, Arshada Akhter, Farooq Ahmad Banday, another Manoj Kumar, and Mohammad Yaseen Shah have received new postings. The list also covers a large group of junior-scale officers, including Sunil Dutt, Preeti Sharma, Saniya Malik, Kanchan Bala, Rupali Vaid, Mansoor Ahmad, Varun Bhasin, Tajamul Yousuf, Sonam Verma, Kapil Deol, Muzaffar Ahmad Malik, Abrar Ahmed Kripak, Sandeep Singh, Aflag Ahmed, Akshay Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Sonali Arora, and Jyoti Choudhary, whose services have been placed at the disposal of different departments for final adjustment.

This large-scale reshuffle reflects the administration’s effort to reorganize departments, redistribute responsibilities, and strengthen governance mechanisms across Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
