Haj Committee Issues Circular on Submission of Passports for Haj 2025

Srinagar, Feb 2 (KNS): The Haj Committee has issued a circular instructing all selected pilgrims for Haj-2025 to submit their original, valid, machine-readable passports to their respective State/UT Haj Committees by 18th February 2025.


The circular for Haj-2025 states:"In accordance with Haj Guidelines 2025, Para 6 & 7 (f-vi), all selected pilgrims for Haj-2025 are required to submit their original, valid, International Indian machine-readable passport to their respective State/UT Haj Committees no later than 18th February 2025. Pilgrims must ensure timely submission of their passports to avoid delays in visa processing. Those registered under a cover must submit their passports together to prevent discrepancies."

"Before submission, pilgrims must ensure that their passport is valid, in good condition, and free from any damage, tears, water exposure, loose binding, or markings. The passport must also have at least two consecutive blank pages."

"If a pilgrim realizes that their passport is damaged or lacks blank pages, they must inform their respective State/UT Haj Committee, submit a copy of the existing passport to them for records, and apply for a new passport immediately. The new passport should be submitted by 18th February 2025, positively."

"The SHC must verify that the passport is valid, undamaged, and free of tears, water exposure, loose binding, or markings, and that it contains at least two consecutive blank pages.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIf any of these conditions are not met, the SHC shall immediately return the passport to the pilgrim, with instruction to submit new passport within 15 days."

"Timely submission of passports is essential to ensure a smooth and hassle-free visa process and entire Haj operation. All State/UT Haj Committees are requested to facilitate this process efficiently and provide the necessary assistance to pilgrims."

The committee has emphasized that passports should be checked for validity and condition before submission.

Any passport found damaged, torn, or lacking blank pages will be returned, and the pilgrim must provide a fresh passport within 15 days.

State and UT Haj Committees have been directed to verify each passport thoroughly and assist pilgrims in completing the process smoothly.

Failure to meet the deadline could result in complications in the visa approval process.
