Srinagar March 21 (KNS): Chairman Peoples Democratic Front ( PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaeen has expressed concern over complaints of the consumers from various parts of Kashmir’s that they were bieng served inflated power bills by the power department. He said serving inflated power bills to consumers was a great injustice with them.
In a statement issued on Thursday ,Hakeem Yaseen while voicing concern over serving inflated power bills to the consumers especially in non-metered areas ,has asked the government to reconsider its decision about hiking of the electricity tariff to provide some relief to the affected consumers . He said the department has failed to provide uninterrupted power supply to consumers ,even in the month of holly Ramadhan, but still they have hiked the power tariff without considering the plight of the people.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said the consumers from both towns and rural areas all over the kashmir valley are complaining about the inflated electricity bills ,which they were unable to pay due to the prevailing financial constraints confronting them.
