New Delhi, Feb 15 (KNS): The IIAS (International Institute of Administrative Sciences) and DARPG (Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Government of India) hosted the International Conference 2025 in New Delhi, bringing together senior policymakers, administrators, and experts from 55 countries to discuss the future of governance.
Inaugurated by Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, the prestigious event focused on innovative strategies to redefine public administration and last-mile service delivery under the theme “Next-Generation Administrative Reforms: Reaching the Last Mile.” The conference aimed to explore modern governance solutions, emphasizing efficiency, transparency, and citizen empowerment.
Representing Jammu and Kashmir, Shabnam Shah Kamili, Administrative Secretary, Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar, Secretary Technical, and Tasaduq Hussain Mir, Special Secretary, ARI & Trainings Department, actively participated in the discussions. The conference served as a crucial platform for knowledge exchange, addressing governance priorities such as empowering citizens through better service delivery, leveraging artificial intelligence and digital tools for transparency, and strengthening policy resilience to adapt to global challenges.
Inclusive governance, sustainability, and accountability in decision-making were also central themes of the discussions.

Reflecting on the conference’s impact, Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar highlighted the significance of integrating digital advancements and global best practices into governance frameworks. He emphasized that technology-driven reforms could enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen citizen-centric governance.
