Srinagar | August 17 (KNS) : Patron of Rashtriya Muslim Manch and noted intellectual Dr Indresh Kumar on Sunday visited the revered shrine of Baba Zainuddin Rishi (RA) at Aishmuqam. He was accompanied by Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, and Prof Shahid Akhter, officiating Chairman of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions & National Convenor of Muslim Rashtriya Manch.
Dr Indresh Kumar along with the delegation paid obeisance at the shrine and prayed for the welfare of humanity.
In a Statementissued, Dr Indresh Kumar expressed satisfaction over the developmental works at spiritual shrines in Jammu & Kashmir under the leadership of Dr Darakhshan. “These shrines are the places of harmony and love. Calling Jammu & Kashmir “the crown of India” and India “the crown of the world”, Dr Indresh said: “Sare Jahan Se Acha Hindustan Hamara is a reality as this country belongs to all faiths equally, without discrimination. Brotherhood, harmony and peace is what we all seek at such revered places.”
He further stressed that efforts are underway to re-establish an era of permanent peace, prosperity and brotherhood in the region.
Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board Dr Darakhshan Andrabi thanked Dr Indresh Kumar for his visit and acknowledged his significant contribution to the welfare of Muslim communities in the country.
Waqf Board Member Syed Mohammed Hussain and Executive Magistrate Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin were also present during the visit.(KNS)
