Industrial Plot Delay: Pampore Entrepreneurs Meet CM Omar Abdullah, Seek Immediate Action

Srinagar, June 13 (KNS): A delegation of over 100 entrepreneurs from the Industrial Estate Pampore (Brick and Tile Factory) met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, urging his direct intervention to resolve the long-standing delay in land possession.

Despite having completed all formalities — including full payments and execution of lease deeds — the entrepreneurs have not been handed over possession of their allotted plots for more than four years. They said unresolved departmental issues are blocking the handover and stalling industrial progress.

Led by Khalid Subhan Wani, President of Industrial Estate Pampore, the delegation was accompanied by core group members. During the meeting, they expressed concern that significant investment potential is being lost due to continued delays.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“We have fulfilled every requirement. This delay is not only unjust but threatens the region’s industrial and employment growth,” Wani told KNS after the meeting.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah gave the delegation a patient hearing and assured them that the matter would be taken up on priority to break the bureaucratic deadlock.

The entrepreneurs stressed that timely resolution will unlock crores in industrial investment, generate employment, and boost local businesses — revitalizing the industrial ecosystem in Pampore and beyond.(KNS)
