Jammu Cyber Cell recovers 1,70,000 in online financial fraud cases

 Srinagar, June 25 (KNS): In a swift action, the Cyber Cell of Jammu's district police successfully recovered ?1,70,000 out of ?2,00,000 lost in two recent online financial fraud cases.

The victims had fallen prey to scams conducted through popular messaging apps Telegram and WhatsApp.
The cyber cell received the complaints earlier and immediately launched an investigation.

Utilizing advanced technological tools and expertise, the team managed to trace and recover the bulk of the stolen funds, bringing significant relief to the defrauded individuals.

The victims recounted were lured into sharing sensitive financial information through a seemingly trustworthy conversation on Telegram and WhatsApp, only to realize later that they had been deceived.
