Jammu Railway Staff's Quick Thinking Saves Lost Girl, Reunites Family

 Jammu, Jan 25 (KNS) ; Officers and railway employees of the Jammu Division of Northern Railway are always ready to ensure the convenience, safety, and secure travel of passengers. 

 
 As part of this commitment, railway employees perform various commendable acts during their duties, which enhance the image of the railways among passengers. Adding to these commendable acts, employees of the Commercial and Operating departments of the Jammu Division performed outstanding work on 24 January keeping in mind the safety and convenience of passengers.
 
In one incident, on 24 January, Senior Ticket Inspector Mr. Abdul Rashid, along with his checking staff, was conducting ticket checks on the platform at Jammu Railway Station around 12 PM. During this time, he noticed a young girl sitting alone and frightened on Platform 1 of Jammu Railway Station. The senior ticket inspector and his staff approached her and inquired, but the girl did not say anything. Showing presence of mind and to prevent the girl from falling into the wrong hands, they informed the Government Railway Police.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelUpon questioning by the police, the girl revealed that she was from Roorkee and had been separated from her parents at the station during her journey. Taking further action, the police contacted the girl's parents and assured them that the child was safe. The parents thanked the railway and the railway employees.
 
In another incident, the Station Master and shunting staff at Pathankot Cantt. located a passenger's bag that had been left behind on train number 12751. After contacting the passenger and completing the verification process, the bag was handed over to the passenger. The passenger thanked the railway and the railway employees. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr. Uchit Singhal, commented on both incidents, stating, "The employees of both departments have performed exceptionally well, which strengthens passengers' trust in the railways. Other railway employees should also strive to perform such outstanding work during their service." (KNS)
