Bandipora, Sep 12 (KNS): Former district president of banned Jamaat E-Islami outfit Sikander Malik from Bandipora on Thursday filed a nomination for the Bandipora constituency saying the vote is a sacrifice that should be used by consideration.

Speaking with the media after filing his nomination papers Sikander Malik praised the government for holding parliament elections fairly in Kashmir and hoped assembly elections would also be held peacefully.

He also said that since decades when Jamat-e-Islamia was not taking part in elections the mainstream political parties were alleging Jamte for not taking part in elections now as we decide they are alleging us proxy candidates.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

"Jamaat-e-Islami candidates are not free yet properly if we were free or may have contested elections from all seats of Kashmir,".

Sikander was arrested after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A and was twice booked under PSA and UAPA. (KNS)
