J&K Awami National Conference announces major party reshuffle

 Srinagar, Feb 17(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference today announced a major reshuffle in its organizational structure, with new appointments to several key party positions.

The reshuffle was formally approved by ANC President Begum Khalida Shah following due deliberations.

The order read that Abdul Rashid Wani, Mohammad Yousuf Shayar and Hamid -u-llah Bhawani have been nominated as Senior Vice Presidents.

In addition, Syed Aga Iftikhar Hussain Jalali and Sardar Gyan Singh have been appointed as Additional General Secretaries.

For the position of Vice Presidents, Nazir Ahmad Pandit, Kewal Sharma, Mohammad Lateef Khan, Abdul Hamid Mir, Iftikhar Ahmad Banday, Adv. Sardar Ranbir Singh Bali and Deen Mohammad Wani have been selected.

Ms. Jahan Ara, Sardar Gurmeet Singh, Javid Ashai, Mujeeb Kant and Satish Koul are designated as State Secretaries.

Rahi Riyaz Ahmad Mir has been appointed as the Provincial President for Kashmir Province.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Ismail Maam, Mohammad Shafi Khan, Ghulam Mohiudin Bhat, Mohammad Hanief Gillani, Sajad Ahmad Dar and Taib Dev have been chosen as Provincial Vice Presidents for Kashmir Province.

The Provincial Secretaries for Kashmir Province include Er. G. R. Dar for Central, Abdul Ahad Khimber for Central, Arshid Rather for South and Barkat Ali Khan for North.

In the Zonal leadership roles for Kashmir Province, Raja Iftikhar Ahmad is selected for South, Aftab Ahmad Laway for Central and Naseer Ahmad Shah for North as Presidents.

For Zonal Secretaries in Kashmir Province, Gulam Hassan Shah and Lateef Ahmad Shalla are appointed for Central, Mohd Amin Dar for North and Shabir Ahmad Paddar for South.

Adv Yasmeen Wani, Ms Masarat Qadri and Ms Shazia Kounser have been given responsibilities in the Women’s Wing for Kashmir Province.

Mir Atif Kant and Danish Bhat are nominated as President and Vice President, respectively, for the Youth Wing in Kashmir Province.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Mehraj Siraj is appointed as the Press Secretary, while Ms. Shazia Kounser serves as the Additional Press Secretary.

District Presidents for Kashmir Province include Adv Sofi Abdul Majeed for Srinagar, Bashir Ahmad Mir for Budgam, Gulzar Ahmad Nengroo for Shopian, Bashir Ahmad Naikoo for Pulwama, Shabir Ahmad Mir for Ganderbal, Syed Murtaza for Baramulla, Nazir Ahmad Kirmani for Kupwara, Sajad Ahmad Kenroo for Anantnag, and Ghulam Mohiudin Bhat (with an additional charge) for Bandipora. Mohd Yousuf Zargar holds the position for Kulgam.

Mohd Sultan Bhat is appointed as the Treasurer.

Adv. Mir Mohammad Shafi chairs the Legal & Human Rights Wing, with Adv. Yasmeen Wani as Vice Chairperson. Other members include Adv. F.A Naqash, Adv. Assma, Adv. Aroosa Khan, and Adv. Ruqiya.

The Minority Wing is headed by Adv. R.S Bali, with RN Wanchoo and Satish Kaul serving as Vice Presidents, and Ms. Princy Bhat as Secretary.

Mohd Shafi Khan is designated as the President of the Head Gujjar Bakarwal Pahari Wing, while Bashir Ahmad Chuppo leads the Labour & Trade Union Wing.

For the Official Spokespersons in Kashmir Province, Nazir Ahmad Pandit, Raja Iftikhar, Lateef Ahmad Khan, and Mohammad Hanief Tarmeezi have been selected.

Additionally, Sardar Joginder Singh Raina and Muzzafar Shah serve as Senior Vice Presidents, with Adv Mir Mohd Shafi as General Secretary and Mir Aman ullah Kant as Additional General Secretary.

Reacting to the reshuffle, ANC President Begum Khalida Shah expressed hope that the revamped team will re-energize party workers and strengthen grassroots connectivity across J&K.

It was also announced that appointment lists for Jammu Province and District office bearers, as well as the ANC Youth Wing and Women’s Wing shall follow in coming days.

Furthermore,  ANC is also announced to re-establish its offices at District headquarters of Leh & Kargil.(KNS).
