J&K Girls Roll Ball Team Wins Bronze at National Championship in Agra

Srinagar, Oct 29 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Girls Roll Ball Team secured the bronze medal in the 18th Roll Ball National Championship 2025 held in Agra from October 25 to 28. The achievement marked a significant moment for the region’s growing presence in national-level sports.

The team, led by captain Qurat-ul-Ain, displayed consistent performance and teamwork throughout the tournament. Qurat scored 22 goals, the highest tally ever achieved by a J&K girls’ team in a national event. Her performance was recognised by the federation, which awarded her a bicycle as a token of appreciation.

Officials said the team’s performance reflected the steady rise of young female athletes in the Union Territory. They noted that participation of girls in competitive sports has increased across districts in recent years, supported by local sports councils and educational institutions.
