Says, Govt. has taken up land lease extension in Gulmarg, hopeful issue will be resolved soon

 Srinagar, June 19 (KNS): J&K Hoteliers Club on Monday held a meeting in Srinagar to discuss preparations for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra 2023.

Soon after meeting was concluded, J&K Hoteliers Club Chairperson Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya told reporters that the annual Amarnath Yatra 2023 will commence from July 01 and hoteliers have made enough arrangements in place to ease out the difficulties of Yatris.


He said all stakeholders took part in the meeting wherein it was discussed and deliberated upon several issued related to Amarnath Yatra 2023 in order to provide best possible services to the Amarnath devotees.

“Besides hoteliers, government should also put adequate arrangements in place for smooth conduct of Yatra. Also there should be vast residential facilities given to the pilgrims who have to come far off areas across the country,” Chaya said.

He said the administration should take all possible efforts to smoothen the travel of Yatri’s by making road services in Sonamarg and Pahalgam.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“The meeting was convened with an aim to welcome Yatri’s this year. It has been our tradition to welcome them like in past years. If devotees need any facility our hotels are ready for them to serve smoothly,” Chaya added.

“Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal assured us the resolution of all problems. We are hopeful this is the right time to macadamize roads leading to the cave. Further proper lighting arrangements should be in place to ease out inconvenience. Wherever repair is needed, should be taken on priority basis,” he added.
About land lease extension of properties located in Gulmarg, Chaya said that the government has taken up the matter and we are hopeful it will be addressed at the earliest so that the business of hoteliers in Gulmarg will prosper. He at the occasion lauded Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for taking steps to ensure peace and development in the region. (KNS)
