JDU President Holds Constructive Meeting with LG Sinha to Discuss Rehabilitation Efforts and Daily Wage Workers’ Welfare

Srinagar July 21 (KNS) :G.M. Shaheen, President of Janata Dal United (JDU) Jammu and Kashmir, met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for an important discussion focused on the welfare and rehabilitation of families affected by militancy, as well as the pressing concerns of daily wage workers in the Union Territory.

During the meeting, Shaheen expressed deep gratitude to LG Manoj Sinha for the recent and commendable steps taken by the administration towards rehabilitating families who have lost their loved ones to militant violence.

He praised the government’s sensitivity and proactive approach in providing relief and support to these bereaved families, acknowledging that such measures are critical for restoring hope and dignity among affected communities. Shaheen further urged the Lieutenant Governor to continue and expedite the rehabilitation process to ensure that no family devastated by militancy remains unsupported.

He emphasized that sustained government intervention is necessary to rebuild lives and instill confidence among the people, fostering a climate of peace and normalcy.

Beyond rehabilitation, Shaheen raised the longstanding issues faced by daily wage workers across Jammu and Kashmir. Highlighting their vulnerable socio-economic status, he appealed to the government to address their demands, which have remained pending for an extended period. Daily wage workers form a significant part of the local workforce, and ensuring their welfare is essential for the region’s inclusive development.

The Lieutenant Governor responded positively to these concerns and conveyed that the government is actively working towards resolving the issues of daily wage earners. He assured that a viable solution would be implemented soon to provide relief and stability to this vital section of society.

Shaheen appreciated LG Manoj Sinha’s openness and constructive dialogue, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts between political leadership and the administration to achieve sustainable progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
