JKCSF and PUF Address Pensioner, Senior Citizen Issues

 Srinagar, Oct 21(KNS): A meeting of Pensioners and Senior Citizens was held at the Central Office under the chairmanship of Qayoom Wani.

The meeting discussed social issues affecting the community and raised concerns over the issues facing pensioners, including medical allowance, commutation deductions, senior citizen cards, and the rights of senior citizens. The meeting also addressed the pending regularization of in-charge officers in the education department.

Chairman JKCSF and PUF, Qayoom Wani, called on the government, including Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to address long-pending issues such as gratuity, leave salary, and GP fund of pensioners and employees.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe also urged for the restoration of rights for senior citizens in Jammu and Kashmir. Wani requested the Education Minister and Commissioner Secretary to resolve the pending regularization of retired and in-service education department employees.

Wani also emphasized the need for social reforms, including actions to address the drug problem, and recommended the introduction of moral education as a compulsory subject in school curricula. He expressed hope that the current government would meet the expectations of employees, pensioners, and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
