JKPCC District President Bandipora Expresses Concern Over Rising Drug Abuse in Kashmir

 Bandipora, November 24(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) District President Bandipora,Mushtaq Ahmed Tantary has expressed deep concern over the increasing menace of drug abuse in Kashmir,urging authorities to take swift and effective measures to curb the issue.

In a statement,Tantary emphasized the need for collective efforts from all sections of society to tackle this growing problem that threatens the social fabric of the region.He stressed that drug addiction is not only ruining the lives of young individuals but also posing serious challenges to the well-being and progress of communities.

Recognizing the ongoing efforts of law enforcement,Tantary appreciated the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the administration for their proactive role in addressing the drug crisis. Tantary called for a multi-pronged approach that includes awareness campaigns,rehabilitation programs, and stricter enforcement of laws to eliminate the supply and demand of drugs in the region.He urged the youth to stay away from drugs and focus on building a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

The JKPCC leader also appealed to parents, educators,religious leaders, and civil society to join hands in the fight against drug abuse, ensuring a healthier and safer environment for the younger generation.
