Kashmiri Pandits Raise Grievances with MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh in Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 15 (KNS): A large gathering of Kashmiri Pandits from Delhi NCR met with Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (MoS PMO), Dr. Jitendra Singh, at his official residence.


 The community members raised critical issues, including the discontinuation of AMR (Aid for Migrants and Rehabilitation) and other long-pending grievances.

The event was organized to highlight the challenges faced by displaced Kashmiri Pandits across the country. Ravinder Pandita, President of the All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS), expressed gratitude to Dr. Singh for his prompt engagement and urged for systemic solutions. Pandita proposed that all matters concerning the displaced community be transferred to the jurisdiction of Jammu & Kashmir or managed by an Additional Secretary-level officer deputed at the Resident Commission in New Delhi.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The meeting saw participation from key political leaders, including Jammu MP Jugal Kishore, BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva, and several MLAs from Jammu & Kashmir. Sachdeva reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the community’s concerns, assuring them of BJP's continued support.

Dr. Jitendra Singh, in a swift response, contacted the Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir and officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs during the meeting to discuss and address the grievances raised.

The interaction emphasized the need for concerted efforts to resolve the pressing issues of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community, with calls for better representation and efficient mechanisms to handle their concerns. (KNS)
