Jammu February 15 (KNS): Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs & Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju today visited Dargah Hazratbal to pay obeisance at the shrine & also take stock of the development works here. Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi accompanied the minister.
Kiren Rijiju addressed the media persons and praised the development activities undertaken by J&K Waqf Board at Hazratbal and other shrines in Jammu & Kashmir. In reply to a question about Haj Pilgrims he said that due to increased temperatures in Saudi Arabia, the govt has increased the medical staff deputation in Saudia for the safety of pilgrims. Dr Darakhshan Andrabi thanked the Minister for his visit to the world famous spiritual shrine of Hazratbal and briefed him about the initiatives of the Board.(KNS)
