Srinagar, June 28 (KNS): Another inmate injured in the gas cylinder explosion inside the Kupwara sub-jail earlier this month has died, raising the death toll to two.

An official informed KNS that Syed Tauseef Geelani, son of Syed Mohammad Geelani and a resident of Chetkheri Karnah, succumbed to his injuries today at SMHS Hospital Srinagar.

Notably, nine jail inmates were injured after a gas cylinder exploded inside the sub-jail on June 19, 2024. (KNS)
