Bandipora Jan 16 (KNS): The residents of Bandipora have raised concerns over the lack of a canteen facility at the District Hospital, urging authorities to address this pressing issue.

Speaking to the media, locals emphasized the hardships faced by both hospital staff and attendants of patients due to the unavailability of a canteen within the hospital premises.

They highlighted that the situation becomes particularly challenging during nighttime when accessing food and refreshments is nearly impossible.

“Attendants who come from far-off areas have no place to get a meal or even tea during emergencies. It’s a basic facility that should have been provided long ago,” said one resident.

The absence of a canteen has also drawn criticism for causing inconvenience to hospital staff, who are left with no choice but to leave the premises to arrange for food, potentially disrupting their critical duties.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Residents have called upon the Deputy Commissioner of Bandipora and the hospital administration to take swift action and establish a canteen at the earliest. They believe that such a facility would not only improve the overall experience for patients and their attendants but also enhance the working conditions for healthcare staff.

“The district hospital serves hundreds of people daily, and a canteen is an essential part of such a facility. We hope the authorities will prioritize this matter,” added another local.

The community has expressed hope that their appeal will be taken seriously and that the administration will act promptly to resolve this issue. (KNS)
