Srinagar Mar 30, (KNS): Reacting to a malicious statement given by one Master Maqbool Malla of Chadura against the High command decision and leadership viz a viz electoral alliance and change of guard in J&K, Senior leaders of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) have expressed surprise over the remarks by one who is not even a primary member of the Party.
Though he (Malla) has claimed to be a senior leader to satisfy himself, the fact remains, he is not even a primary member of the party. Apart from allegations against him for duping people for providing jobs, he (Malla) was arrested on various other serious charges by J&K Police, known for his tainted character, he has no political basis in his area and not even counted.
Earlier associated with Congress, Master Maqbool Malla had joined the National Conference. Given his character and other obnoxious activities, he remained isolated there, then he joined APNI Party where he could not find any place subsequently, he joined Congress during the tenure of former PCC President against the wishes of Seniors. He was aspiring to get the mandate to contest elections, but he could not find his name even in the discussions held with respect to the candidature.
Malla on the behest of some persons in the Party who claim seniority of 50 years without any electoral achievements used an anti-Congress news channel to demean Party. The said news channel stands banned by AICC for its malicious propaganda against the leadership and party’s pro people policies, but the so-called Congress leader Malla and his master on the other side of Jawahar Tunnel used the same channel to target Congress again, which has been taken very seriously by the leadership.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Referring to some other disgruntled people, who happened to be the product of conflict without any electoral achievements are out to demean Congress, they could not even win a panchayat or local body elections from their respective areas, still they talk high and beating the drums of their seniority whilst their contributions towards Congress is nothing,
The fact remains that one disgruntled leader contested assembly elections and got only “420 votes” despite that he was made MLC out of turn, but he could not serve the Party rather he sold out his CDF in other districts on commission basis. It was unfortunate on his part that despite enjoying six-year terms as MLC, he did not contribute to development in his native area, which is known to everyone in and outside Congress, the leaders added.
Congress is a disciplined Party, shall never tolerate indiscipline or anti-party activities. Those who question High Command decisions with respect to pre-poll alliance or change of guard in J&K will be dealt sternly, they elaborated.(KNS)
