MES Builders of India Srinagar Branch to boycott works, tenders over department actions

 Srinagar, Jan 19 (KNS): The MES Builders of India (Regd) Srinagar Branch on Monday announced a boycott of all ongoing works and participation in tendering in protest against the alleged arbitrary actions of the MES department.

 
A general body meeting was held in Srinagar, attended by builders from across the Kashmir Valley, to discuss grievances against the MES, including undue cancellation of contracts, delayed payments, and slow decisions on contractual obligations. The contractors said these actions have caused severe financial and mental hardships.
 
During the meeting, the members expressed strong resentment over what they described as “high-handed” measures taken by the department without proper notice, hearings, or adherence to established procedures.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
After detailed deliberations, the contractors unanimously decided to oppose the MES department’s actions and take steps to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests. 
 
They warned that execution of all works across the valley would be stopped, and participation in tendering withheld, until their grievances are addressed.
 
The announcement was made by the Hon’ble Secretary of the MES Builders Association of India, Srinagar Branch.(KNS).
