Srinagar, Jan 17 (KNS): Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma Northern Army Commander, conducted a comprehensive review of the security situation across the Kashmir Valley on Saturday.
The assessment encompassed the operational environment in both the northern and southern sectors of the region.
As part of the review, Lt Gen Sharma visited several forward formations and units, receiving detailed briefings on the prevailing security conditions and ongoing operational efforts, according to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
During his visit, the senior Army commander also engaged with personnel at the Joint Control Centre.

Lt Gen Sharma underscored that enhanced inter-agency cooperation is fundamental to maintaining dynamic operational control. He further stated that real-time intelligence sharing and heightened situational awareness are vital for reinforcing the security apparatus and response mechanisms.
This review is part of the security forces' sustained efforts to ensure peace and stability in the Valley through coordinated and intelligence-led operations. (KNS)
