MeT forecasts Dry Spell with Isolated Showers

Srinagar, June 11 (KNS): The Meteorological Center in Jammu and Kashmir has released a weather forecast for the upcoming week, indicating predominantly dry conditions across the region.


Light rain or thunderstorms may occur in isolated areas, although these events are expected to be sporadic.

"From June 11-17, Expect generally dry weather throughout Jammu and Kashmir. However, there is a possibility of light rain or thunderstorms at isolated locations, local MeT department," statement reads according to KNS correspondent.
"From June 18-21 The outlook for this period suggests generally cloudy conditions with light rain or thunderstorms at isolated places, especially during the afternoon and evening hours," it added.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The advisory issued for the farmers by the local weather station reads: Farmers across the region are advised to resume their agricultural activities, taking advantage of the dry weather conditions. Despite the possibility of isolated showers, the overall forecast remains favorable for farming operations."

A heatwave is predicted to continue in the plains of Jammu, while the rest of the region will experience hot and dry weather. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions against the heat, it added.

The Precautionary Measures issued in view of heat wave reads: Stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure, and take necessary precautions to combat the heatwave in Jammu plains.(KNS)
