MLA Abdul Majeed Bhat Proudly Hosts Launch of Mutahir Showkat’s “Nooruk Safar,” Encourages Youth Engagement

 Anantnag, Nov 14(KNS): The valley of Kashmir, renowned for its rich literary heritage, has witnessed the release of Nooruk Safar, the second book by young local author and entrepreneur Mutahir Showkat. The book, already receiving widespread attention for its heartfelt narrative and thought provoking themes, marks a significant milestone in Mutahir’s literary journey.

Nooruk Safar follows the story of a young boy from Kashmir who, while forming new friendships, is drawn into a haram relationship that leads him down a dangerous path. The protagonist loses his innocence and peace, succumbing to the grip of addiction and despair. In his darkest moments, he turns to Allah, seeking forgiveness and a chance to rebuild his life. This pivotal moment marks the beginning of his transformative journey, where he finds renewed hope, faith, and love, ultimately reshaping his future.

In a recent interview, Mutahir shared the motivation behind writing Nooruk Safar. He noted the increasing prevalence of haram relationships, which, although initially enticing, often lead to destructive habits, depression, and anxiety. Expressing concern about the rising cases of drug addiction among Kashmiri youth, he stated, “Out of ten youths, at least two or more are caught in the grip of drugs, largely due to these toxic associations.” His book aims to raise awareness about the dangers of such relationships and offer a message of hope for those struggling to break free from them.

During the launch, Abdul Majeed Bhat spoke proudly of the young author, highlighting the significance of such initiatives in a time when the youth are increasingly caught in destructive cycles, particularly due to drugs. “In a time when drugs and other social issues have become major concerns in Kashmir, it is heartening to see youth like Mutahir setting an example. Kashmir has the best talent, and we must support such positive initiatives,” he said. He further committed to promoting similar events and continuously supporting efforts that encourage positive change in the region.

Mutahir also discussed his hope that Nooruk Safar will inspire young people to pursue healthier and more meaningful lives. He emphasised that Nooruk Safar aim to guide readers toward personal growth, self discipline, faith, and forgiveness. “Through my books, I want to motivate youth to stay on the right path and turn to faith for strength in times of adversity,” he explained.

Nooruk Safar is now available worldwide on major platforms such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Mutahir has already received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback, with many readers connecting deeply with the book’s themes of faith, redemption, and resilience.(KNS).
