MLA Banihal Visits remotest Snow-Bound Mahu village, Addresses Public Concerns at Gram Sabha

Banihal Jan 4 (KNS):  National Conference leader and MLA Banihal today visited the remotest snow-covered village of Mahu to address the pressing issues faced by the residents during the harsh winter months. The MLA braved adverse weather conditions to personally interact with villagers and assess the challenges they encounter due to the severe cold and heavy snowfall.

During the visit, the MLA attended a Gram Sabha convened by the Rural Development Department (RDD), which saw enthusiastic participation from local residents and Panchayat members. The Sabha focused on developmental initiatives and the immediate needs of the community. Villagers expressed their concerns about the lack of road connectivity, disruptions in electricity supply, and the availability of essential commodities. The need for improved healthcare services to deal with winter emergencies was also highlighted.

He also emphasized the importance of ensuring an uninterrupted supply of ration and fuel to sustain families during the harsh weather.

“The hardships faced by the people of Mahu and other snow-bound villages are a priority for our government. We are working tirelessly to resolve these issues and ensure that development reaches even the remotest corners of the constituency,” the MLA said during his address.

The visit also included an on-ground review of various ongoing developmental projects in the region. The MLA instructed officials to expedite work on critical projects and called for enhanced coordination between local representatives and the administration to address the unique challenges faced by the area.(KNS)
