Srinagar, Oct 5 (KNS) : AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi welcomed the progress on the proposed Wildlife Sanctuary at Doribal-Darbal Payeen, Qalamabad, Handwara, following a communication from Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav to Baramulla MP Er. Rashid.
In a statement issued, Inam Un Nabi said the Central Zoo Authority has examined the proposal, while the Union Ministry has sought necessary action from the J&K Government, including submission of the required application and Detailed Project Report.
“This is a significant step forward and reflects the outcome of MP Er. The Centre has clearly indicated what is required from the UT administration. There should be no further bureaucratic delay in preparing the DPR, completing the prescribed application and taking the necessary statutory steps,” Inam said.
Inam Un Nabi said AIP would continue to follow the proposal closely and urged the administration to complete the pending process without further delay.(KNS)
