Mudgal inspects developmental works under PRASADat Dargah Hazratbal


SRINAGAR, AUGUST 20 (KNS): Commissioner Secretary Tourism, Yasha Mudgal along with Secretary Public Works (R&B), Bhupinder Kumar conducted a detailed inspection of assets created at Dargah Hazratbal here under PRASAD Scheme of the Government of India.
Director Tourism Kashmir, Raja Yaqoob and other senior officers from Tourism, R&B, SICOP and J&K WAQF Board accompanied during her visit.
Projects worth Rs. 40.00 Crore aimed to enhance the infrastructure and facilities for devotees/tourists visiting the revered shrine have been executed under the said scheme.
Commissioner Secretary Tourism directed that as the project has already been taken over by J&K WAQF Board, the same shall ensure the operation and management of assets like Multi Level Car Parking, Tourist facilitation Centre, Sufi Interpretation Centre, WazuKhana and Shopping Kiosks at the earliest ensuring their public use.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Additionally, executing agencies were directed to complete the finishing works on the Tourist Facilitation Centre, Mechanical Tensile Structures and Multi-Level Parking well before upcoming Eid-e-Milad Festival so as to enable the public to utilize the upgraded facilities during the celebrations.
The concerted efforts under the PRASAD Scheme are designed to improve the overall experience for by pilgrims and tourists, making their visit to Dargah Hazratbal more convenient and enriching.(KNS)
