Pahalgam, April 27 (KNS): A high-level delegation from Jammu & Kashmir Awami National Conference, led by Senior Vice President Muzaffar Shah, visited Hapatnad, Pahalgam today to pay homage to local hero Syed Adil Shah, who sacrificed his life protecting tourists during the recent militant attack in the region.
In his statement Shah said that the unarmed tourist guide demonstrated extraordinary courage when he placed himself between attackers and visitors, saving numerous lives before losing his own in the crossfire.
"Syed Adil Shah's supreme sacrifice will echo through generations," Muzaffar Shah said while addressing the grieving family. "Though unarmed, his humanity prevailed as he chose to give his own life rather than allow harm to come to the guests under his protection. His courage stands as an inspiration for all Kashmiris and indeed all of humanity."

Speaking at the gathering, ANC Vice President Mohammad Lateef Khan remarked, "Syed Adil Shah's supreme sacrifice has filled every Kashmiri with pride. His bravery and selflessness exemplify the true spirit of Kashmir's age-old traditions of hospitality and sacrifice."
The ANC leadership expressed deep solidarity with the bereaved family and committed to preserving the legacy of Adil Shah and others who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.(KNS)
