Srinagar Mar 18 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference remembered the party leader, Shaheed Wali Muhammad Itoo, on the 31st anniversary of his martyrdom.
Dy CM Surinder Singh Choudhary led party functionaries including Health Minister Sakina Itoo, and Advisor to HCM Nasir Aslam Wani in offering glowing tributes to the late veteran leader in an impressive function at DH Pora, Kulgam. Hon'ble MLAs Gh Mohiudin Mir, Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi, Showkat Ganai, Pirzada Faroz Ahmad, Provincial President Showkat Ahmad Mir, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, District President Safdar Ali Khan, incharge Shopian Sheikh Mohammad Rafi were also present on the occasion. Together they offered prayers on the occasion.
During the commemorative function, the leaders lauded Late Itoo as a true champion of the people, highlighting his unwavering dedication to democracy, human dignity, and the welfare of the public. Recognizing his visionary leadership, the leaders emphasized Wali Muhammad Itoo's groundbreaking work in rural development, particularly in South Kashmir districts like DH Pora. They applauded his efforts to empower rural youth, women, and farmers, with the goal of reducing poverty and fostering positive change in the region.
On the occasion Health Minister Sakina Itoo announced the affiliation of District Hospital Kulgam with GMC Anantnag as its Associated Hospital thereby realising the long pending demand of locals of the area.
Additionally, the party functionaries paid tribute to the renowned legal expert and political figure, Muhammad Akbar Ganai, on the 11th anniversary of his passing. They remembered his contributions to the public and the party, ensuring that his legacy remains alive in the hearts of all party members.(KNS)
