Calls for Justice for General and Open Merit Youth in J&K.

Budgam,May 31 (KNS) :  Dr. Nissar Paul, Contesting Candidate from Budgam, has strongly urged former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to make public the report of the sub-committee formed to review the reservation system in Jammu & Kashmir. The committee, which was given a six-month deadline, has already exceeded its timeline. Dr. Paul emphasized that the report must now be released transparently, without creating confusion or further chaos among the general and open merit population.

He highlighted that over 70% of J&K’s population falls under the general and open merit category, yet they receive less than 30% of government job opportunities.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThis imbalance, he noted, has led to deep frustration and a sense of systemic exclusion among talented youth, particularly Kashmiri-speaking candidates who have already endured decades of turmoil and hardship.

Dr.Paul stressed that this is not merely an administrative matter but a moral and emotional demand from a generation that seeks recognition based on capability and merit. He reaffirmed that his party stands firmly for justice, rationalisation of reservations, and an end to policies that deny deserving youth their rightful place in the system.(KNS)
