Srinagar, June 10 (KNS): As Eid al-Adha approaches, the Chairman of Nigeen Lake Conservation Organization (NLCO), Manzoor Wangnoo, has issued a passionate appeal to the public, urging everyone to refrain from dumping sacrificial animal hides, carcasses, and offals into the waterbodies. This request is particularly directed at those living near the waterbodies.
In his statement, Chairman Wangnoo emphasized the importance of acting responsibly to preserve our lakes and rivers. Chairman Wangnoo also encouraged the public to coordinate with designated officials from the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) or the J&K Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LC&MA) for proper waste disposal. Alternatively, NLCO volunteers are available to assist with the collection of animal hides.
